Which sub $2k CD player would you recommend? Thanks...I don't want to get a modded player, just looking for something stock but very good. How about the Meridien players? I noticed some G06 and G07s out there.
Pass X-250.5 or McIntosh MC402? I have heard both and find the Mac stuff sounds veiled and flat in comparison to Pass. Just my two cents.
PC-Audio vs. High-end CD Player-GAME OVER Hi there, can you clarify some things as I am confused about your post. 1) What is a Crimson? 2) Am I reading this right to say you compared an Ipod into a Wavelenght DAC vs. an Ipod burned on a CD listening through a Levinson CDP? Would it make m...
Not Another NuForce thread...... I am not sure what people are hearing, but I have A/Bed the Nuforce stuff to the Pass Labs stuff and there really is no comparison. The Nuforce stuff is just digital sounding to me and nothing like analog. Just my take. The Absolute Sound hit the ...
Is the RAM Modified Esound E5 the REAL THING? Thank you for the honest answer! I'll keep looking around.....
Is the RAM Modified Esound E5 the REAL THING? Megasam, Please don't take this as attacking but look at the price of the super clock 4 with PSU for the following, this is what I get from their website: Esound: $590, Marantz 8001: $700, Marantz SA-11: $750. You are correct, the Esoteric ones ar...
Is the RAM Modified Esound E5 the REAL THING? Upon closer inspection on the RAM website nothing makes sense. The same superclock installed in the Oppo or an Esoteric is drastically different in price. Why? It appears that the price of mods is dependent on the price of the machine, and not on ...
Is the RAM Modified Esound E5 the REAL THING? I am guessing this player is not. There is nothing people can say.
New CDP vs. older used and more expensive player This is a hard question and one I am very familiar with. I haev owned most of the above. My feeling is the newer ones (I have the Raysonic CD128) are simply better in terms of air and musicality. The older players tend to sound digital to my ears,...
BEHOLD - digital gear from Germany Like other manufacturers do you should have simply placed an ad with pictures and the whole nine yards. Pay the $6 and list a legitimate ad. The forums are generally reserved for discussions on people's experiences with audio gear and to seek opin...
BEHOLD - digital gear from Germany I think B-Job's name speaks for itself. Is it B-job or BJ or what? I agree, if I had the money to afford this stuff, why not fly to Germany and hear it first hand. In my book if I can afford this stuff it will be on already reputable products, not...
BEHOLD - digital gear from Germany Hey B-job, why are you trying to stir up interest for this product? Are you a dealer?
JC1, Pass X250.5, CJ Premier 350, Krell 300cx Stevecham:I respectfully disagree with your unhelpful remarks. Amps do have a very distinct sonic character. I was not asking about total system synergy, just about the specific attributes of the amps themselves. With that information I can better...
Nuforce I just picked up a pair of these.......totally awesome. Far better than my Oddysey monoblocs........they crush them in terms of transparency, detail, imaging etc.. |
