How does a Transport effect sound?
-1 jon2020I have a good transport and dac combo. The SM improves quite a bit. Simaudio 260d and Lyngdorf 2170. It may not be as good as a Esoteric or PS Audio $$$$$, but I find it hard to believe that what I have is not "good"

@ozzy As we all have different systems, (regarding your post about it degrading your sound) the Synchro-Mesh I bought a few weeks has made a huge improvement in my system. I would not want to listen to my digital playback without one now. Also, St...

@travbrow I understand some believe in breakin and some don’t...thats another thread debate. However in my experience those speakers needed at least 150 hours. Your speakers list at $7000 and the IM’s list at $2000. Just sayinI am also not saying ...

@travbrow Thanks for your review. I would hope a $7000 (EP 4.7) speaker with a deeper freq range would beat a $2000 stand mount in dynamics and higher levels.Curious, how many hours did you have on the IM's?
New Tweak --- Its Fantastic
@tommylion I did and I agree

@sadono Do you have the cable plugged into the Deep Core?
New Tweak --- Its Fantastic
Put some paste on the bare wire ends of my Western Electric 10 gauge speaker cable, the power cable that feeds to my powerdac and 3 High Fidelity Cable MC-05s. What I notice immediately was lower noise floor, soundstage much wider and deeper. Not ...
Small room electrostat/ planar speaker?
I bet the ET LFT-16a Planar Magnetic Hybrid Book Self Loudspeaker with a sub, would sound killer.
Looking at sub $200 power cables.
+1 @corepowertech I really like the Super Stroke Cable from CPT. Nice extension top to bottom. detailed sound without being harsh. Better than the Audience SEi Power Cord I compared.
Small room electrostat/ planar speaker?
@yyzsantabarbara I listen at 55-65db range. One of the reason I got the ET's and not the Maggies.
Small room electrostat/ planar speaker?
@yyzsantabarbara Well the ET’s in my experience sounded best with about 3 feet or more behind back of the panel. They do not need an overly dead sounding room to sound good in my experience. Even though they don’t have a very wide horizontal dispe...
High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz
I found the Reveal RCA interconnect to be a cable that is on the warmer side of neutral, very musical and natural sounding. I wonder if the gold plated connectors have anything to do with that? The CT1 Enhanced RCA was more neutral in its presenta...
Oyaide Cables
@maxima95 I bought those connectors from Audio Archon. Give Mike a call.

While I have not heard the GTX Rhodium in my system  , I did hear the GTX Gold. Very nice receptacle, but the NCF is a much higher resolution outlet. The imaging, detail retrieval is amazing. One of the best investments I have made in my system.
Tekton Impact Monitors
For me personally they needed close to 200 hours to smooth out.
