TW Raven Acustic AC Owners Hi Isanchez, thanks for the pics. It does look like a BM-8 or 6. I will ask Minus K.
TW Raven Acustic AC Owners I am intriqued by the Minus-K platforms. They seem to offer some technological and practical advantages over the other platforms mentioned (wall-mounting is unfortunately out for me). However, after checking out its website site, it looks like the...
TW Raven Acustic AC Owners I am a Raven AC user myself and have been wondering if my isolation is adequate. My Raven sits on a Japanese made TAOC rack. When I knock on the rack or the shelf, i hear a fair bit of acoustic feedback. Is that a sign of inadequate isolation? My ...
Rives PARC parametric equalizer My PARC is also fed by Exactpower EP 15A. I dont know if it may affect PARC adversely. Anyway in this configuration, and to my ears, attentuation of bass boom not withstanding, the PARC is not transparent compared to if it is out of the chain. A g...
Rives PARC parametric equalizer Shadorne, in my system and to my ears, the PARC is not transparent in the mid and treble as some reputable magazines have claimed. In addition, in my system, it takes some life out of the sound. However, I must hasten to add that using good qualit...
Rives PARC parametric equalizer Tks Rives and sorry for late reply...been travelling.. I have obviously tried the bypass mode vs taking the PARC entirely out of the chain. in my system and to my ears, the PARC does something to the sound besides attenuating bass booms. E.g.,the ...
Rives PARC parametric equalizer Thanks to Shadorne and Rives the inventor of the PRAC for your insights. As i stated i like to hear from folks who have used the device. If you are not one of them, please don't bother. I am a PARC user. In my system, i love what it does to attenu...
Kharma 3.2.2 I 've seen their website. has anyone heard it?
The best mini monitors you have heard? Shadorne, I don't think the Magico Mini has ceramic driver. The Kharma 3.2 has a ceramic driver, but is overall warmer than the Mini. I haven't seen/heard the MKII version of the Mini, so can't say if the new one is different soundwise. I was impr...
Has any one heard Magico Speakers? To sirspeedy70680@earthlink.net: probably a classic for the hearing impaired, who when they go to a live concert must always sit in the first row.
Has any one heard Magico Speakers? To Wslam: the MM is so "truthful" it makes recordings sound like they were recorded with a mike attached to every piece of instrument and a mike attached to the voice cord of each and every singer. fatiguing to the extreme after 10 minutes.
Has any one heard Magico Speakers? The local dealer use tube amplification. Still, to my ears, listening to MM is like listening to those XRCDs as opposed to vinyls.
Has any one heard Magico Speakers? I have heard the MM twice at local dealer. Impressive for first 10 minutes or so. Fatiguing to the ears after that. HiFi-ish to the extreme.
Calling for opinions on Escalante Fremonts Despite the use of that topline Revealator tweeter, in the installation i heard, they didn't quite have the HF extension and transparency i had hoped. the bass was a little underdamped and slowish. Perhaps it was the installation and the electonics.
Anybody heard the new EAR turntable? Tbg, I think the Australian turntable is extremely expensive.I am getting a bit cautious with magazine rave reviews. Even from lengends like HP, I learn to use a pinch of salt. Absolutely no disrespect to HP, a few years back, I bought a combo of ... |
