The right room.
Pedrello,One of my best friends has a room that's about 25 wide, 38 long and 12-14 high. A very large space, and his reference speaker is a medium large three way with 13" woofer. The sound is excellent, although perhaps too low of an acoustical ou...
The right room.
From my experience, Stehno's suggestion is accurate. All room dimension rules are made to be broken but going with a long rectangle as he suggests will give your speakers room to breath and allow them to reproduce even the deepest bass passages.
Raven v Walker. Colored v Accurate?
RaulDear Albert: Do you want a better quality performance on your SP-10MK2?, if so then change all the internal/external electrical power cable from the wall socket through the Power supply, umbilical cord and inside the TT.I've installed an IEC c...
Any new up & coming high end speaker lines?
Sebastian, you have the Hansen Emperor?
Raven v Walker. Colored v Accurate?
Just one more small example of the murky nature of all this. In a recent listening session in a very evolved, very high end system not unfamiliar to some here, we changed out the support "cones" underneath the power supply for the motor controller...

Thanks Albert,Gosh.....I didn't even know that section existed?I don't think many people will be aware of it?Oh well.Halcro, until the last few days, it did not exist. This is obviously a new Audiogon format. I discovered this by clicking around t...

Halcro, your review is up. Perhaps the format change caused you to miss seeing it.Really nice review I might add. I wish I had the opportunity to hear the DaVinci 12" arm. I was SO close to buying it when I did my Technics rebuild and went for the...

Sorry to go off topic, but thanks to Cytocycle for directing me to his two system threads for a look. Great looking systems and wonderful photography.
GEM Dandy Record Cleaner - Has Anyone Tried It ?
Wet suit? Do you think it would be that bad? I don't know how good the guy is that reviewed the GEM Dandy, but I think I could do fine with it in our sink and create no more mess than rinsing dishes. Then again, I have not tried it. Just supporting...
GEM Dandy Record Cleaner - Has Anyone Tried It ?
My son would find it fun to use, I'm going from personal experience, that's all I've got.How many people would buy a 40 year old Lenco, clean, tweak and repair it, only to have to construct a 60 pound custom base before it delivered full potential...
GEM Dandy Record Cleaner - Has Anyone Tried It ?
All this info is good for those that are entering the arena of LP playback and looking for alternatives to clean records.I owned the Nitty Gritty, two VPI's (including the 17F) and now the best one I've ever seen or used, the Odyssey RCM from Germ...
Need advice on loudspeakers Southern California
If you're spending that amount of money, I advise you to go to as many dealers and friends homes as possible and experience the wide variety of sounds that people consider high end.Another possibility are one or more high end audio shows that occu...
GEM Dandy Record Cleaner - Has Anyone Tried It ?
I'm completely amused by the Merrill cleaning machine. I guarantee you, if I was a kid with no budget and a love for LP's. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.I have no idea how well it works, but I'll wager it's miles ahead of doing nothing and many people...
