Included here are set up tips for the Super Lintons…if you set them up carefully and you still are experiencing problems, maybe the problem is in the amp or preamp / streamer.   https://youtu.be/kIf6677oMTA?si=hwOd91fXWdlN4vLk   Good luck!
Why hasnt a turntable manufacturer produced a table with automatic tonearm return/shutoff?
I love the convenience of the automatic lifting of the tonearm and stopping of the platter rotation on my Denon DP-59L turntable…semi-automatic.  So no danger of getting distracted, leaving the room then returning hours later to a stylus being wor...
New house, wife reveals she hates my Maggies- looking for stand mount speaker suggestions
Sonus Faber will likely have the best wife approval quotient.  Or if she likes a modern look…KEF Reference 1 Meta or R11 Meta
What would you do?
Hey @thecarpathian I bought a Denon DP59L turntable recapped and restored from captmark09 on YouTube about 6 years ago and it's the best turntable I've ever owned (previously Realistic turntable, then Sony linear tracking, then Ariston QDeck, then...
Can I get my Prima Luna to sound more like a SET/300B?
Maybe you need to pursue a high quality class AB or class A. amp.  There will always be limitations with the Prima Luna.
Help deciding between two speakers.
Your amp has the capability to drive Magnepan LRS+ speakers which excel at detail and are $1000 retail.  I miss my Maggies which were the prior entry level Maggies with the aftermarket stands.  You could add a sub later.  It depends on what music ...
Streamer Options Needed
I was close to buying a HiFi Rose RS250 streamer that was on sale for $1300 from a HiFi store as a demo unit.  I ended up buying the Wiim Ultra which works great using Roon from my Mac mini. I bought a USB to optical converter made by SMSL to conn...
Speaker choice
I have KEF R3 Meta speakers with a KEF KC62 sub in a similar room and orchestral music sounds great.  If your budget is higher, the KEF R11 Meta speakers may fit your requirements.  The Meta tweeter sounds exactly as you describe that you like.   ...
A/V receiver and Legacy Focus SE speakers
I believe the PS Audio Stellar Strata also has a HT bypass feature and should have enough power.  They have a free trial period so you can return it if it doesn’t work for you.  I don’t own one…I have a 2-channel system with a Yamaha rn-2000a rece...
Local pickup for speakers - should I let the buyer in the house or use the the garage?
If I sell something smaller or portable, I usually meet someone at a Starbucks or some other neutral site. When I have sold more expensive or larger items, I use a local hi-fi store that sells new, used and vintage equipment and they sell it for m...
Selling towers - keep getting bad actors/scammers when doing local pickup only.
Another option you can explore that I’ve taken advantage of is selling speakers through a local dealer who sells used and vintage equipment as well as new equipment.   That way, you can still put an ad online, but you don’t have to mess with the b...
Will a record weight harm the motor in a direct drive turntable?
Thanks everyone for the info.  It’s especially good to hear the comments from the Denon technician.  I’ve owned quite a few turntables over the years (Sony linear tracking, Ariston, Thorens, Music Hall, Fluance, etc) but the Denon DP-59L is my fav...

Best Receiver for “Mid-Fi” System?
Oops.  You wanted an AVR.  My mistake for not reading closely.  Emotiva may be an option.
Best Receiver for “Mid-Fi” System?
I’m using a Yamaha Rn-2000a receiver which is more than capable of powering 4 ohm speakers.  I’m using KEF R3 Meta speakers and the system sounds great.  Look at the Audiiholics review of the receiver with the bench testing.  The receiver also has...
