Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD
10-24-15: MattnshilpI think we all agree that It's all about the design and implementation. Not the cost of parts. I used to own an Ariel Atom. It was a steel frame and a "cheap" supercharged Chevy Ecotec engine. Cheap parts all around. But it did...

10-24-15: RicevsA couple of years ago Martin Colloms raved about the $100,000+ Audionote DAC that uses the obsolete 18 bit AD1865 DAC chip.....no digital filter at all. Says it can compete with vinyl playing CDs! I notice that Border Patrol has ju...

How an audio rack can enhance your amp/pre
John, Audiogon has a new system building platform. Take a look at it, and we can help disarticulate you from TVAD....unless of course TVAD is an alter ego....

10-22-15: Roxy54That's my concern...he's a fan of too many things. As far as Tvad is concerned, I have no idea, but I hope that he's well. If you have any experience with SS, then use your intuition and extrapolate to what a treated room would do....

Roxy, I don't share your concerns. Clement has been a fan of Dale Pitcher's stuff, and has never owned or reviewed it. He is also a fan of SS and Lampizator having owned neither. Besides, the room is a freight train, and is hard to miss irregardle...

T_Ramey, I know Jason. He lives a little north of me in Huntersville, NC. I am the forerunner, but I know they have a few more planned. Paradoxically, we are moving in the spring, so I will have to recycle the whole experiment. That's okay though....

T_Ramey, I am glad you are enjoying the new platforms. SS stuff works. It has from the beginning. Audiophiles and competitors love to piss on SS, but at the end of the day, it works. Imagine if your entire room and/or walls was grounded in such a ...

Review: Intuitive Design/Pitcher Sound Labs Summit PSL 624 Speaker
Good for you Bob. Its funny things are copacetic years later despite your repeated attempts at an exorcism. What 2A3 amps are you using? James D in Minnesota, who introduced me to ID, has had a vinyl renaissance as well (Well Tempered). What digit...
VIVA Numerico DAC in your main system?
I don't know of anyone. Talk to Bob from Profundo. He is the distro. I own the Viva Solista integrated and like it. Trenner speakers would most likely be a good match.
The best speaker you ever heard?
09-28-15: JugheadThat he is, and he drinks all my good beer too. LOL!That is his standard fee. Talk to him (or Dale) about room treatments or design elements for your future sound room....
The best speaker you ever heard?
Nice. It does not hurt to have Duane in your court for setup. He is the master....
The best speaker you ever heard?
Jughead, the Summits will compete with most of the speakers referenced on this thread when properly setup and with appropriate ancillary equipment. Dale spends an inordinate amount of time on mechanical and electrical grounding schemes in his spea...
