Pass/musical fidelity for focal scala
I find all purchases are exciting, even with experience.
Sold speakers you really enjoyed?... But why?
Sold my Wilson Audio Witt MKII speakers paired with a Pass Labs X250 to see if I could down-size and still enjoy the music. What was I thinking? That didn't last very long.

Your favorite album cover...
Mark Colby, One Good Turn.
mold removal
Thanks Photon46. I'll more than likely discard the sleeves now, since they may cause trouble with time. Better to clean the discs and keep them that way.
Your favorite album cover...
King Crimson, In the Court of the Crimson King
Do you put as much effort into your Car Audio?
Nope. I turn of the stock radio which is always tuned to NPR.
What Exactly Does "Burn In" do for Electronics?
I wish I could hear no difference because I would have saved thousands and would be happy with a boombox.
Wishbone Ash fans...
I'm a fan as well. Was going to look to see which lp's I have, but can't find one of them. My lp's are totally disorganized. Have to do something about that. Gives me a good reason to clear out the shelves, clear out the room, then paint it. Then ...
Whats on your turntable tonight?
My newly Soundsmith re-tipped Grado Ref. Sonata ($250 option) playing Cassandra Wilson and Porcupine tree. Soundsmith made this cartridge sound better than new. Brought tears to my eyes and stood my hair on end.
What's your latest album purchase?
Found "Oldies.com" poking around online and ordered a few just to see what they were about. Bonobo, "Animal Magic"Saint Etienne, "Foxbase Alpha"Thievery Corporation, "Saudade"Like the Saudade lp the most.
Blue Mitchell
Saw him in the early 70's when he was with John Mayall. Those were the days...great memories.
What hooked you to audio?
My bad. His was one of the first years it was made. He was an excellent wrench and had it tweaked out. It wouldn't "stand", but the front end would get air. I didn't even have a driving license yet.
What was your first 'hi-end' system?
@Dpatterson, a friend of mine had the 1060 with a pair of large Advents that sounded great! I loved that little blue light on the 1060. I eventually ended up owning about a dozen of the '70's Marantz units over the years. Tuners, receivers, amps, ...
What hooked you to audio?
In the early '70's I met a fellow who had a Kenwood integrated amp driving a pair of JBL L100's. Can't remember the 'table. I fell in love with audio then. I remember doodling drawings of Marantz separates, JBL's, etc. Had the bug bad. What impre...
