Are you sure it's the Hegel? I had that problem once and it turned out to be an interconnect.

6SN7 tube question
I bought a pair of GE 6sn7gtb's for around 50 dollars that sound very good from top to bottom. They didn't take long to break in and are an excellent value. I didn't buy from Andy.

Depends on the system. The original Anti Cables didn't work for me but many others have had excellent results.

Carbon Fiber Brush with Milty Gun?
I do the same as Ghosthouse, 12, 4, & 8 o'clock, then squeeze once more in the center, but don't release the trigger until it's pointing away from the record. I read this is best, but haven't tried otherwise. Works so I leave well enough alone.
