Suggestions for Feet I'd heed Tom's advice. See if you can find some of the old Mod Squad Tip Toes. They came in very low profile sizes (some as little as 1/2" high and they have worked well for me in several applications. Might be a tough find, though.
Reviews with all double blind testing? I even suspect the people in the deeply tinted window SUV with the fancy wheels that was absolutely booming "urban youth music" were lost in the music and tapping their toes. I should have rolled down my window and said hello to my audiophile brot...
Do you think you need a subwoofer? Thanks, Eldartford. Interesting the mention of isobarics. As yoy may know, the Vandy's incorporate two sub drivers in each cabinet (facing each other - actually virtually stacked). These sound great just positioned properly but, when dialed in are...

Do you think you need a subwoofer? Eldartford, I would like your opinion on something because you have had experience with a wide variety of sub types, development, and placement in different systems not just one or two purchases in their own system. This is in regard to all-in-o...
How many audiophiles to screw in a light bulb? None, cause true audiophiles listen in the dark.
Help with cartridge selection Depends on the unipivot in question as to whether the Shelter 501MkII is a good match, though I've never heard one on a 9. Lots of good audiofeil cartidges to choose from, Cobra. Maybe try the Shure and see what you like or don't regarding its per...
Walker Audio Extreme SST At the advice of the A'gon member who helped me install two dedicated lines, all the electrical connections (at the service box and outlets) were treated with the stuff. Never heard them without, so I can't say if they're better because of it, but...
Your Opinion Well, the difference between 8 or 9 and 10 is 20% or 10%, but anyway. My opinion (you asked for it), is this. If YOU are happy and enjoying the music, have spent little, and have no angst because you haven't spent more and are, therefore, missing s...
Getting and keeping records clean................ A friendly suggestion. Type the words record and cleaning and/or machine in the search bar and you will uncover over a hundred threads discussing the topic. You'll get more than enough information to help or confuse you.
The Schroeder has arrived May I ask how lengthy is lengthy?
VPI Scoutmaster or Nottingham Space Deck...? Don't get the heavy kit version of the Space Deck though. Either a Hyperspace or space deck.I fully concur and, if this is what Red heard, I may see his point a little better.Dgad, what I'd like to hear is the ACE arm on the original Spacedeck. Ha...
VPI Scoutmaster or Nottingham Space Deck...? More documentation or more glitzy, Jeff? While the documentation sheet is actually a photocopy of a drawing of the table and parts, it does, at least in my experience, cover what you need to know to set up and run the table. Nothing more, nothing ... |
