PS Audio PWD. who's in line to cross the bridge??
ErikminerI read your post on the PS site. Hopefully Dennis can figure out what the problem with ALAC is. All of my files are FLAC, so I don't have any experience with ALAC. For the most part, my 96k FLAC play well (albeit with some intermittent dr...
PS Audio PWD. who's in line to cross the bridge??
It works and sounds great!!! Keep in mind that there are still some bugs to be worked out, but that was to be expected and PS will be making firmware updates available via the PWD front panel interface (via the Internet). You won't regret the purc...
Perfectwave Dac - computer audio options
Definitely put your money into the Bridge (why own the PWD if you’re not going to get the Bridge). Use your current PC with some interim server software (Twonky works fine) until the forthcoming Tag-N-Play server is released from PS Audio. Eventua...

PS Perfect Wave Trans/DAC versus Meridian 808.2
Actually Levy03, the future will be in network-based audio as opposed to “computer audio.” PS Audio is really making strides in this direction. You won’t need a computer at all when you connect the Bridge to your network. This is a totally differe...

Audio Magic -- the new power conditioners
Kennesawjet, Do you have a dedicated line, or are you saying you noticed improvements by merely exchanging your original sockets with the PS sockets?
Logitech Touch vs Duet
The Duet's been in my system problem-free for nearly two years. I am moving on to the PS Audio Bridge, but that is primarily for fidelity reasons. To be sure, I have heard and read about all the problems many Duet owners have had to deal with. I r...
PS Audio PWD + Bridge - ripping?
The PSA NAS will have ripping capabilities. I wasn't aware that PSA released any pics of their forthcoming NAS. Where did you see pics?
PS Audio PWD + Bridge - ripping?
My understanding is that the bridge will not accept direct input from a storage device via USB.It will accept direct inpute from a NAS via Ethernet. Also, I believe the forthcoming USB router that PS is working on may connect to the Bridge (via USB).
PS Audio PWD + Bridge - ripping?
There is one USB port on the Bridge, but I don't think you'll be able to directly connect a HD or CD drive. In addition to the PWL (PS-A's proprietary NAS), PS-A is also going to develop a new USB router - which, from what I've read, sounds (very)...
24/192 rez with M2Tech HiFace
Your DL-III is an up-sampling DAC that will automatically up-sample your 16/44.1 files to either 24/96 or 24/192 depending on which setting you selected. In the case of CDs and 16/44.1 files, it is not necessary to convert them to higher bit and s...
What is Musicality?
Musicality - the term, since you asked, is a description of human characteristics (applied to persons not components). Persons of greater musicality however, typically will possess the ability to discern musical nuances (and possibly component nua...
Squezebox + iTunes + FLAC
Why are you not simply using SqueezeCenter, which supports FLAC and up to 24/96? Note too, that unless you are using the Transporter, or the new Squeeze Touch, you won't be able to listen to 24/96, since the other SB devices will only support up t...
Morrow SP1 or SP2 cable vs Speltz Anti-Cable?
Stringreen:In an earlier post you mentioned a reduction or "narrowing" of the soundstage when using your Anti Cables in a twisted formation. I have noticed a similar narrowing in my sound stage since I put in double shotgun twisted pairs of Anti C...
