marantz pm8006 vs peahtree nova 150. Been teetering between these two for a new pair of Dali oberons that are on order. Anyone else care to way in?
Dali Specktor Review / Wharfedale Shootout @erik_squiresBloody hell... Apologies Erik. I just skimmed through your link real quick last night. Didn't realize the $1k was for a custom built cabinet assembled and finished. I drunkenly stumbled through it and assumed that it was the DIY b...
Dali Specktor Review / Wharfedale Shootout @erik_squires The link you posted claims $1,000 to build the cabinet. I could build it out of solid Cocobolo for $500. What gives?
Dali Specktor Review / Wharfedale Shootout @audiotroy I am in New Jersey. I would to check out you’re spot. Where abouts?
Kef R series or Tannoy Revolution Series? I stand corrected. In reading the review Audiotroy posted the Newer Q series (50's) have a proper 2:1 ratio for the radiators, which now both occupy the same chamber as the woofer. Much better.
Kef R series or Tannoy Revolution Series? Side note / Rant: Why are you considering the Q series? I always thought they were a terrible design. Correct me if I’m wrong… But when you’re using passive radiators, the radiator is recommended to be twice the surface area of the active ...
Kef R series or Tannoy Revolution Series? I have been going back and forth between KEF and Tannoy too. I am leaning towards the Tannoy XT6F’s or XT8F’s because I have heard so many good things about them. Reviews say that they have incredible imaging, lots of bass, and a very lively sou...
Has anyone heard the Tannoy XT8Fs? Mid range was more refined on the 6’s too? Obviously the highs were still edgy and crispyz
Dali Specktor Review / Wharfedale Shootout @erik_squires What is your current system?
Dali Specktor Review / Wharfedale Shootout It might be the low level capabilities that make them work for me. I have them on my desk on either side of my computer, so they are very close to me. Carpeted 12x12 room. Very primitive setup. I can’t imagine they would sound nearly as full o...
Has anyone heard the Tannoy XT8Fs? Thanks for the response, much appreciated. I am pretty convinced that these Tannoys are the next step for me. I currently have a pair of Wharfedale Reva 4s that I am not thrilled with. Now I just have to figure out how to get a listen to them. ...
Has anyone heard the Tannoy XT8Fs? I have heard from a few online reviews that the highs could be a little more refined or detailed. Can you eleborate on that? They image very well I am told, but are they transparent? Delicate up top? From what I am reading it almost sounds lik...
Who makes the best "Coaxial" Tweeter/Midrange design? Are the drivers in the KEF Moon and Blade that much different from ones used in the Q series, R series and LS50s? They all seem to be made with precision control. Is it just the crossover components and cabinets that are upgraded?
Who makes the best "Coaxial" Tweeter/Midrange design? Timlub,So in theory, Andrew Jones could be responsible for all of the coaxial designs at ELAC, KEF AND TAD...? Thoughts?
Wharfedale - Reva/Diamond Bm7b5,Yes I did! Letting them go now actually and in the market for either KEF R500 or Tannoy XT6F. Possibly even ELAC.The Wharfedale Reva 4s are a great sounding speaker. They were an excellent step up from the Wharfedale Diamond 10.7s and the... |
