RCA / BALANCED OUTPUT

I am interested in purchasing a cd player with balanced only outputs. Everything else in my system is RCA inputs and outputs. Is there anyone running cables from a balanced output to RCA input. What are my options? Is there a cable you can recommend in the $100 to $300 range?

Most cable manufacturers can supply a XLR to RCA cable, thus avoiding the need for the convertor. Just check the ones within your price range. I have a Morrow Audio but I have barely used it yet, so I'm affraid I cannot give you feedback on its performance.
The easiest option is the XLR/RCA adapter like Elizabeth mentions. I also have an inexpensive pair ($100???) of interconnects that have XLR's on one end and RCA's on the other end. I tend to wind up using the XLR/RCA adapters more, because I don't really like the sound of that XLR/RCA interconnect that much. It's ok, but too warm for my system. If you're going to buy a special cable with XLR's on one end and RCA's on the other, you'd better be damn sure that you like how it sounds and then don't change AYNTHING!!!
What's the point? All your gear accepts only RCA plugs, and an XLR to RCA cable gives you nothing that an RCA to RCA cable wouldn't.
