DAC with a Balance Control - Does on exist?

Are you aware of a DAC that has a balance control?

My stereo does not use a preamp. The music travels from my hard drive via Ethernet to my DAC to my Amps. My DAC (Benchmark DAC1) has a volume control. The only other control I would like is a balance control. I would prefer not to buy a preamp to get that.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

What about a software solution to control balance. I hear that "Pure Music" can control balance on my Mac. That way I could keep my Benchmark DAC.
Um, yes. Did you miss my earlier post? If you are using Pure Music, you can adjust the balance trim by going to Preferences -> Audio Settings -> Signal Modifiers. You can push the right channel up or down to your liking.

Much cheaper than buying a new DAC.

Just wait until you lose hearing in one of your ears, resulting in a perceived shift in the central image. I miss my balance control. This is an excellent and very relevant question by the OP.

Ya dang whippersnapper....!
