Snowballs

Did anyone watch the Buffalo Bills-Miami Dolphins game last night?  The Buffalo fans were pelting the Dolphins with snow/ice balls and it became so bad that they halted the game and asked the fans to desist.   the thought of 300 pound, fully padded gladiators who hit each other in high speed collisions being scared of a few snowballs was hilarious.

What’s the Audio equivalent?  Someone going ballistic when a fly lands on their $100K power amp?

When in high school a girl lost an eye to a snow/ice ball. So, not so hilarious. As far as these "Gladiators in armor" goes, Orlando Brown, OL for the Browns, was hit in the eye with a ref's flag and it literally ruined his career. The flag has a weight in it so the ref can throw it a decent distance so it can be more easily recognized, I guess. Now I have never handled a ref's flag so I have no idea how heavy or hard  it is but I can say a snowball or one that has been held in the hand for a while can become quite hard. Girl loses eye, star football player loses career, yeah real hilarious.

Orlando Brown Got Hit With a Penalty Flag, and the Freak Incident Ruined His Career - FanBuzz

Years ago, I had a cup of soda spill on my major rebuilt modified Stereo 70.  Almost cried.  But I had it all apart before.  Took it down to parade rest again.

I remember a friend telling me a kid threw an near empty coke can out a car window and knocked him off his road bike. The kid thought it was funny. My friend is 6'-3". But a bike traveling at 25 mph sees a denser object than a static piece of hollow aluminum. I'm sure a snowball would have been just as effective.

Forget the dangerously situation that represents on the road for a minute and think about the mindset that thinks this behavior is OK.

Nowadays adults act like children once did. Sports fans are sometimes the worst. The whole mob mentality is awful. I played football in high school and remember how cultish team politics can be. It really turned me off to a sport that I truly loved.

Where are the adults?
