Affordable GaN FET amp from Peachtree Audio

Peachtree Audio is offering a Beta Test program for their new GaN 1 amp (not to be confused with their GaN400) and it's being offered at a substantial discount ($1299 instead of $1999) just for being part of the Beta Test group. It has only one digital coax input and that's it. 200 Watts/channel, zero feedback, and no DAC since the GaN FETs handle that.

All the best,

The second week of production is ending. They said it would take 2-3 weeks to produce them all. Still have not heard about my unit.

Has anyone received theirs or got an email that their unit is in production?

I placed my order in mid-July so I’m probably close to the end of the production list.  Today, I called Peachtree for an update and they estimated my unit would be built by mid-September.

I emailed them today.  They said the first batch has shipped, they are working on the 2nd now.  I'm in the third batch and will have to wait a little longer.  They said the burn in and testing is taking longer than they thought. At least I'm likely to get a good unit.  Does anyone have any listening impressions that has already received their unit?

I would like to ask for some help.  I have a Gan1 and Bluesound on order.  I don't stream music yet and just want to use my beautiful Jay's Audio CD Transport.  The trouble is,  it only has AES/EBU, RCA, BNC and I2s on HDMI for outputs and the Node needs toslink. The only other volume control I can find that is compatible is the Rose 150B which is alot of $ for just using it as a volume control.   Does anybody know of any other options ? Thanks

Minidsp flex digital should work. Gan 1 doesn't use toslink, it uses coaxial spdif.
