Wilson Watt 3 Tiny Tots Tweeter issue

Hello new to the forum. Got burdened with a pair of Wilson Watt 2 Audio Puppies/ Watt 3 Tiny Tots
Fired them up for the first time today. One Tiny Tot works fine, the other one seems to have a dead tweeter.

Took the tweeter out, did not unsolder the internal wires, and measured across the terminals (with the internal wires still attached) 24.4 Ohm. Is this meaningful, or am I just measuring something in the dividing network?

Thanks

Carsten

Interesting choice of words. Why are you “burdened” by a pair of Watt Puppies? Regarding the tweeter, unsolder it if you can vs cutting. It will make resoldering the new one just a little easier.

Have you tried to lift the Puppies? Must be 120 pounds each. It's above the limit of what I can physically handle.

Unsoldered the wires

I’ve got Wilson’s as well… yeah they are freakin’ heavy for sure. Put them on sliders, makes them much easier to deal with when getting them placed.

Just buy a set of commercial casters with the same threading as the spikes for your speakers and then roll them around until you are satisfied.  Mark the spots for the corners of the speakers on the ground with tape or whatever, and replace the casters with spikes.  (My Wilsons are still on casters but the weight more than triple what yours do and would be a brute to erect again if they ever toppled).
