B&W HTM1D3 vs HTM2D3

I am curious if anyone has upgraded their B&W center speaker From HTM2D3 to HTM1D3.  If you have,  I would like to know your impressions  and if it is worth the $2K price difference.  I am primarily 2 channel, but also listen to many Blu-ray concerts and other 5.1 music.  The larger speaker has larger bass and mid range drivers so I would expect vocals to have more clarity, as well as deeper bass.
i previously upgraded to 802D3’s from 803D3’s, but am still using the smaller center channel.

I have a barely used HTM1D3 in black piano finish if you're interested. Please email me juanmkaremb@yahoo.com
I appreciate the offer, but I ended up trading in my HTM2 for the HTM1 in Rosewood.

Does anyone have experience with the new B&W HTM81 D4 or HTM82 D4 series center channel speakers?  My system will have B&W 803 D3 right and left speakers. If anyone has a B&W HTM1 D3 in black for sale I'd be interested in that too.

Hi bwguy,

could you kindly share your experience upgrading from HTM2 D3 to HTM1 D3? A second hand HTM1 D3 is available for sale for less than half the MSRP. I’m tempted to upgrade.

I noticed a significant improvement in clarity with the Htm1d3 vs the Htm2d3.  The Htm1d3’s are also a better match with my 802d3’s.  The vocals when playing Blu-ray concerts are more real and vibrant.  It was almost like the vocals coming from the smaller speaker were constrained due to the smaller mid range.  If you play 5.1 audio fairly loud, I would recommend the HTM1D3.
