Have a friend who is considering a pair of these with either Primare or possibly Boulder amplification. Any thoughts on, or experience with, these speakers?
Yes he got the the Chario's with the Primare 35 series pre and amp. Built in DAC in the Primare and the new Bluesound Node as a streamer. Isotek Aquarius and Siltech cords and cables. Went and heard it all hooked up together the other day and it's very, very good!
At first the Charia were so smooth and non fatiguing it threw me off. I thought I might not be hearing all the detail. But some critical listening to Dire Straits and Lenny by SRV sounded incredible with an amazing combination of detail, soundstage and warmth that I could listen to for hours.
