Audio Research Reference 75 se

Hello,
Need help...
I live in Azores/Portugal and I don't have any technical assistance here.
I put new tubes in my Reference 75 (KT150) and when I went to adjust the V1 Tube bias, switch the rotary knob all the way to the left (minimum) the meter is always at maximum, all the way to the right ...
The V2 Tube is above 75mA
The V3 Tube adjusts to 65mA
The V4 Tube is well above 75mA

Can anyone tell me what the problem is?
Thanks in advance
Paulo

I had this problem with a VT100. There were a couple resistors that had to be replaced. Contact Audio Research and they will give you better help.
I have the 75se and I love it.

Hello Phil,
You're right, I contacted Audio Research and they informed me that it should be a burned resistor next to the tube socket and it should be replaced.
I will send the 75se to mainland Portugal for repair.
It is in fact an excellent power amp, I love it, but six months ago I bought a new Pass Labs XA30.8 which is also a fantastic power amp... I also like it a lot...however at the beginning, with 60 / 70 hours of burning hated the sound...dark, without dynamics, attack and detail...a dreadful sound, I was already thinking of selling it...then I thought and plugged it into a tuner for more than 300 hours...when I plugged it back into my system I was amazed...I can only say that the two are fantastic and very similar in terms of sound...I will keep them both...

Paulo
