Kimber 12tc break in time

Just have about 24 hours on it and it doesn't sound as warm and musical as my Canada 4s11. The Canare is 11 gauge and the Kimber is 8 gauge wire. Will the thickness affect break in time? I also had a new 10 ga dedicated line put in 2 days before but I have that in another post. So what are your thoughts on break in time for this cable. I can't make the gauge work in my cable cooker.

Blueranger...Generally, the thicker the cable, the longer the break in. This also is dependent on the complexity of the design. Start at low power and gradually increase your volume daily thru breakin. This facilitates a gradually proper alignment of molecules/electrons. The 1st 20 hrs typically gets rid of the worst abnormalities, but expect 40 hrs just for them to reach the better half of their sound characteristics. 100 hrs gets you their, with full break in for typical 12 awg speaker cables taking up to 200. Between 100 to 200 hrs is gradual and subtle improvements that bring the cable to their true sound state. At 8 awg, expect around 60 hrs just to get to the better half of their sound, plus or minus dependent on cable design and materials. OFC will take longer than annealed copper such as OCC, PCOCC, or Cardas. Thow in silver plating aND that adds a bit,,,,throw in multi conductors that are individually shielded from each other (ie, ltz) and that can add time.
Thanks because these new cables since I put them in were finally sounding great last night. You seem to know break in very well. I use a Cardas test sweep record to help break in my cartridge just don't have the CD. Without getting a dedicated break in CD is electronic dance music the best genre to break in a system?
