speaker coupling question

I have the Nola Boxer speakers and have them on some good sand filled stands coupled to the top plate with blu-tac.  the stands at the bottom are spiked through carpet to a cement slab which is very uneven.  Its difficult to get these spikes completely even so my question is what would be an alternative to get better coupling?  thanks for any info.

Cement floor is the best to spike into (couple) you should only de-couple on wooden or suspended floors. As you never want the wooden/suspended floor acting as a "sound board" for the speakers, which happens if you spike into them.

As for your problem getting level, BDP24 is right, it’s much easier with a three spiked stand, or unless you have adjustable spikes on yours???

thanks everyone!  I was finally able to get the spikes even where the stands are solid to the cement slab, but wow it did take a while. I think whoever put that slab in had a hangover!
Max Townshend posted a great video on You Tube displaying the effect of using his Seismic Pods under speakers. Well worth watching, even if you decide not to spend the considerable sum it takes to outfit a pair of speakers with them.

That's why spikes are adjustable, and yes a PITA to setup, once done don't move them.
