The Ayre page includes general computer information and separate tabs for Windows and MAC Computers.

I want to thank everybody for taking their time in providing very valuable guidance.

I should have added, the current thought process is to have the system configured as follows:

Mac Mini 2.8Ghz with intel core i5 with 16GB of RAM & a SSD drive for the OS & related software etc.
Synology DS415Play with 4, 4TB Hitachi drives in RAID
For Ripping in AIFF, XDL & itunes. itunes also for music management
For Playback Amarra
CD drives TBD

I have about 2.5k cd's that need to ripped. Unfortunately a good portion of these will need all meta data input manually.

My MAC Book Pro Setup is:

MAC Book Pro Computer
2.9GHz Dual-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM — 2x4G
128GB Solid State Drive
LaCie 3TB d2 USB 3.0 Thunderbolt Series Hard Drive

As noted above, the Mac Mini is another option.
