Romantic Cello Recordings?

I am looking for some romantic music played by Cello. Please, no Yo-Yo Ma. I already have lots of his stuff. I like the way cello music sounds on my sound system.

Any suggestions?

You may want to explore the cello voice in context with other stringed instruments, say a string quartet?
I subscribed to the Gramophone magazine, a British classical review. They usually send a disc of samples with each issue. The latest one had a sample of a new recording of Frank Bridge String Quartet No.1 on Naxos. It's so beautiful that it had me running to the store immediately. The Maggini String Quartet plays with unerring authority, beauty and soul. This is not available on Hi-Res yet but with the CD at $6. You can't possibly go wrong when the sound is equally beautiful.
Another vote for the Schubert Arpegionne Sonata.
Another vote for the Glass Bead Game. Nathaniel Rosen's playing is lovely.
Also check out Chopin and Rachmaninov Cello Sonatas. There are several versions available.

Pieter Wispelwey, a regular cellist for the Channel Classics label (w/ incredible sound on Hybrid SACD), also recorded some beautiful performances:
Chopin Sonata for Cello and Piano,Op. 65. Fauré Elégie,Op. 24. Papillon,Op. 77. Romance,Op. 69. Poulenc Sonata for Cello and Piano.

Mischa Maisky and Daria Hovora playing Schubert - "Song Without Words" on DG. I bought the CD for one track - the Schubert Serenade with the vocal part played on the cello. Truly wonderful.
Brahms string trio has great cello. I recommend Stern Rose and Istomin. Yo-Yo has gotten a tad yo-yo for me. Not romantic but check out Bach cello suites by Rostropovitch. Deep and weeping.
