Audiofeil,
Hundreds of posts and this is your first on this thread... and that's what you have to say. No wonder you've got a horrible reputation on AGon.
Morgan.
If you'll do a quik scan through this thread, you'll be able to find several amps that have been shared along this journey. I know, it's a lot of post to look through. Just go to each page and click on the date at the top of that page and do a quik search and that might help in you quest. Just a thought.
Jeff, it sound like the Pendragons are a lot of speaker for the money. It speaks volumes about a speaker that you once had, Sold for a much more expensive speaker and then came back to the same one.
I'm glad you're enjoying them. I'll have to come over one day to take a listen.
Not sizing the speaker to the room is one of the most common mistakes made in audio.
Sebrof.
It's interesting that you have seen a cross-over in the Lore. From all indications, the Lore is supposed to be a full range with a high pass capacitor in the tweeter.
I never looked inside the one I had, but what you're discribing is a cross-over.
Goraman, it seems you are the only one that is complaining about sibilance. It seems that there may be something upstream that is causing the problem.
I also disagree with the fact that cables make a small difference. Cables could be your problem. I wonder how you came to the conclusion that caps are the problem.
I never had sibilance with my lores at all, the only time I've ever had a sibilance problem in the past was when I changed out cables or power cords.

Rischa,
I have used a 18 wpc SET amp with the Lore's with great results. The Lore is a very efficient speaker that works well with very low wattage.
Gpowered is using an 8 wpc SET with great results.
If you have a large room, maybe you'll need the extra wattage. But for a small to medeum sized room they work well with low wattage amps.
