Zen preamp: dollar for dollar the best?

Just wondering what people think about the Zen preamp. Its designer claims it compares with anything at any price. The warranty is unheard of, too...

Someone I REALLY trust in high end audio told me to stick to the Creek preamp (for my budget). He sells some very pricey stuff (Lamm, not Creek). I work as a salesman for a British industrial inkjet printer company and our boards look very much like the Creeks. Primo.
I that one in my home 14 months ago and returned it because it was to noisey. He say he has fix the problem. The pre amp is very dynamic. The inputs are very limited and it looks DIY
I don't know. Audio Advisor gave my Chinese made Cambridge CD Player that 30 day satisfaction guarantee...I know it doen't make it any better, though.

It seems this guy's come up with something I would catalog as 'totally ballistic'. It's severely limited in input flexibility (switching is on the rear, and only two inputs). However, not at all on configuration (nine total setting combinations!). Very well thought of. Totally non Voodoo. Just not flexible...

is this claim backed by a money-back guarantee? If so, then you're only out their shipping charges for trying...
