Zap 2 speaker cables by MIT

I'm trying to figure out if these speaker cables are high quality. I got them used with a Yamaha RX-777 receiver and a set of Definitive Technology DR 7 speakers. I really don't know anything about them. Except I got them from an 80 year old man. Who told me they were very good. I cut the ends off them. So I could use banana plugs. They just had hooks and straight pin type connectors on them before. Looks like they have about a 14ga. wire inside. Does anyone know about these speaker cables? Zap 2 speaker cables by MIT. MIT? Whats that all about. Sorry I'm not much of an audiophile.

you pretty much need them terminated by the original mfg. or you kill any resale value they may have.

They appear to be a pretty old model, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

They are decent cables and in line if not better then what most people would be running with your setup.
