Your ONE all time favorite love song?

For me it's "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by Roberta Flack, from her CD "Softly with These Songs, the Best of Roberta Flack", on Atlantic. I'm looking for LOVE SONGS. Thanks and Cheers. Craig

Well ... the more I listen to it, the more I like Neil Young's "Harvest Moon". A long-time companion song if there ever was one (20 years and still working on it myself). And if you can't envision yourself swaying in someone's arms to the music, well ... I pity your lack of imagination.

"Come a little bit closer
Hear what I have to say
Just like children sleepin'
We could dream this night away.

But there's a full moon risin'
Let's go dancin' in the light
We know where the music's playin'
Let's go out and feel the night.

Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon.

When we were strangers
I watched you from afar
When we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart.

But now it's gettin' late
And the moon is climbin' high
I want to celebrate
See it shinin' in your eye.

Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon."
Slipknot1,

In response to Excitable Boy, I do have to say that Warren Z did put out some pretty romantic tunes in his own fashion. I rarely pull my vinyl Warren - but I did a few months ago - and played his major debut "Warren Zevon". "Backs Turned Looking Down the Path", "Hasten Down the Wind", and "Carmelita" are all songs worthy of any romantic troubadour, even if the romance is a little flawed! I can't say that I paid much attention to his later offerings (although my beautiful wife bought "My Ride's Here" a few years ago so that I could add a "Z" to the CD collection), and it's nice to see him get some belated acclaim.
Okay ... my second ONE all time favorite love song (brought to mind from thread on intelligent lyrics) ...

Billy Bragg - The Fourteenth of February (from William Bloke):

I wish that I could remember the first moment that we met
If only I could remember that sweet moment when we met
If I knew then that I
Would spend the rest of my life with you
I imagine I would have held your gaze a little longer
When first our eyes met

Did it rain or did sunshine attend out first meeting?
What words were said? What weight given to that first greeting?
My diary doesn't help
I don't even mention your name until that summer
When bloomed the
Seed sown on the first day that we met

I know the date, I know the place where in happened
Yet in my mind the scene I recall is imagined
As we grow old I'm sure
There will be moments that we will not forget
But I would
Remember something of the moment that we met
