Your last concert was to see who and when?

Pretty simple, what and when was your last concert?

Hey Tom. She did her show with a different twist. Told stories of how her songs came to be which was a bonus. Since her stroke, she hasn't gained all functions back but her voice was as strong as I've heard it. Band was super tight.

My daughter and son-in-law invited me to go to see a show tonight. It was Emerson Hart of Tonic, Vertical Horizon, & Sister Hazel & The BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem. Emerson played a solo acoustic show that I really enjoyed. He has a great voice. VH wasn't my favorite type of music. I was really impressed with SH though. They did great covers of "Even the Losers" & "Hotel California".
Courtney Barnett @ N.C. Museum of Art Amphitheater/Raleigh, tonight. She really rocks and is so natural doing it.
@toddnkaya ,

"Many concert are so stupidly expensive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I’ve been wanting to see Gov’t Mule. They will be 10 minutes from my house at a small outdoor theatre…...my kind of venue. Lawn seats $17.00. Good so far. Then Ticketmaster takes over. In the end that $17.00 ticket turns into $40.00 not counting parking. On top of that, they don't email tickets or have Will Call. One has to have a smartphone (which I don't) or pay very high shipping. I refuse to pay that. Glad I have a great sounding stereo.
@uberwaltz,

Interesting that you mention Bryan Adams. I was thinking Friday for some reason, it may be interesting to pull out the lps I own by him and listen through a different "lens"/perspective.
I hope you have a great time.

This is a reason to hang on to lps you never listen to.
Wow! Thanks!

He's coming to my area soon. I had put it off because of my concern...his voice would not be enjoyable.

You put that to rest.

Thank You!
@reubent,

Surprising to me, is the fact that Son Volt is not the premier group!

I'm sure I'll enjoy them both.
The Rosanne/John show was all acoustic. She has the most tonally rich/incredible voice! John's acoustic guitar was also the most tonally rich guitar I've ever heard! Two pros....loved it!

Thinking about the Gillian/David show on Wed.? Bought my tickets for the Shovels & Rope/ SonVolt show in June...can't wait.
M C Taylor of Hiss Golden Messenger was (one) of her "friends". I just finished listening to "Haw". He did a wonderful version of Tift"s "Traveling Alone"   Marvelous!

I really believe I witnessed greatness without knowing it at the time.
What's funny is, I just put on "Stitch of the World" and immediately got chills. That's what the effect of seeing her live has had on me. I remember feeling the same way after her "Traveling Alone" tour. Wonderful!
Saw Tift Merritt & friends last night. Always enjoy seeing her live. Her recent lp has taken some time to grow on me. Seeing her perform some of those songs live gave me a much deeper appreciation for them. Her (friends) that comprised her band were fabulous separately and especially playing together. When you experience her live, you feel like she could be your sister, down to earth, no put-ons.
Saw Blondie/Garbage last night with my daughter & son-in-law. Very enjoyable! No regrets!
Seeing Garbage/Blondie in two weeks.

Seeing Tift Merritt & friends in four weeks.
