@erik_squires I don’t have Yamaha as3000 to compare to the Luxman but let me tell you Luxman was overpriced compare to Yamaha , I have own top of the line Marantz pm11 and I have to compare it with my Yamaha as2100 retail prices was 3500 and my Yamaha as2100 was better than the Marantz cost 4500 , Luxman , Marantz was made in Japan so you have to pay them premium prices compare to Yamaha made in Malaysia that why it is cheaper but the sound of Yamaha is so natural and smooth , you will pay more for Luxman, Marantz , McIntosh they are overpriced , I still own a Yamaha receiver for the last 25 years and it still working without any issues that made me love my Yamaha even more

Have you heard it with a turntable as source, using its phono stage?
A concern for me is that they chose 50 ohm for the fixed MC value (usually it's 100 ohms to accommodate most carts) - I have a Shelter Harmony that states 'within 100 ohms'...I wonder how that would affect the sound (I think not much, but...)...anyways, please share if you have any experiences of this amp...MANY thanks and Happy New Year to you all!
