XLR Cable connector on preamp is loose...

Hi all,

When using XLR Cables how much wiggle room is normal when connecting to a preamp? I recently installed some AQ Water XLR and noticed it does not fit snug into the connector. Should all XLR cables be a snug fit so that there is no issues with the sound? I also have noticed that on a pair of Yukon XLR cables as well. I did tell my dealer about it and we will see if he will give me another pair of Water XLRs and Yukon XLRs I just wanted to see if any member in this forum experienced this issue with your gear and what did you do and did you notice any sound irregularties because of the loose connection or was it acceptable? Thanks all.
