Would you move to a bigger house if you could just to have a better listening room ?

Let's see how crazy we are.

no one said you are not crazy 😂 that's an entirely different question. We just commented on the move.

the only alternative to the @mikelavigne sound barn is divorce 😂

If I presented a plan like this to my wife, she'd say, yes but not across the property but across the country

@inna now I am really curious, my geographer self, and calling New England my second home, about  where you live, which county? If it's not too personal.

to sum up: audiophiles prefer not only to isolate their listening rooms but also themselves from the rest of the World by moving as far away from people as possible

then I understand your desire for space. Have you been to Littleton, NH? Not as cheap as it once used to be but still, my favorite part of New England.

I go to Littleton (Lyman, to be exact) once a year; it had gone through vast changes. The fact that they have several record stores is a big deal and a symptom of the "hipsteria". But Vermont and Maine offer great choices too, if I could I would be as close to Montreal as possible, as the best way of being and not having to be in Europe, at the same time

yes I meant it as a good sign. As for Europe, I would go North. Not as far as Finland, but anywhere north of Latitude 53 to not roast in the July heats.

@jonwolfpell If it's somewhere on the Cape, I would consider applying for the butler or chef position (don't ask for references)

I don't know what dedicated listening and dedicated listening room are but that's probably due to my ADD and hyperactive nature. I would go crazy in a minute in a windowless, stuffy room.

The only way I listen to music is if I can do two other things at least in the same time.
