The CJ ART 300 will be a very musical and rich pairing with the Avalons - my kind of sound - and a large improvement from the SF. I was an SF fan once having a Processor 3 and Iris transport but with amplification the CJ will be better. Until my current system, I ran amps that exceeded speaker power specifications with no issues.
Would the 300W CJ ART 300 Monoblocks be too much for my Avalon Ascendants?
Looking to replace and upgrade my amps (one of my Sonic Frontier Power 3's - which I loved and have had for nearly 20 years - died) and was looking at Conrad Johnson Art 150 and 300 monoblocks (I have a CJ CT5 pre-amp). My Avalon Ascendants are rated up to 200W so was wondering if 300W monoblocks will be too much for them? Thanks in advance for any help on this one.
