woofer replacement question (not sure if right forum, but...)

I have my eye on a pair of old Kan MK2 (I know, I know, spare the hate) that have been refurbished via Falcon B110. My hesitation is that Falcon replicates the original SP1003 B110, and my understanding is the MK2 used the later SP1057 model, which would interact differently with MK2 crossover, altering the sound. Can anyone advise on this who has any experience with such matters?
