They sounded excellent with a Pass Labs X250 SS amp. No clue as to tubes. Seemed to need lots of power to sound their best. I sold my system to downsize. Was a mistake. I'm right back to taking up nearly all of the room I gained when I downsized. Plus the monitors couldn't compare to floor standers.
