Will my preamp work with MC cartridge?

I just picked up a Antique Lab PP-1 phono preamp. Also, I purchased a VPI HW-19 Jr. table - My phono cart. is a Benz Micro (it does not indicate if is high, medium, or low output) ... just says Benz Micro and it looks identical to glider.

My question is will these specs be sufficient for a MC cartridge w/o using a step-up? Specs are as follows:

Voltage Gain: 40dB min @ 1KHz Gain Adj Range: Full gain to -90dB Frequency Range: 20-20,000Hz Equalization: RIAA or flat (HF boost) Input Impedance: 47K Ohm Output Impedance: 1K Ohm Hum & Noise: Less than .6 mV Channel Separation: -60dB at 10kHz Sensitivity: less than 10mV for full output Maximum Output: 7 V RMS (20V peak to peak).

Any input is greatly appreciated.

You would have to use either a SUT or a head amp.
That is true IF its a low output. HO would probably "work", med output, who knows w/o knowing the overall system gain, input sensitivity of the amp, eff of the speakers, and room size. As to whether you'd get optimal performance, that's "a whole 'nuther kettle a fish". Take 'er for a spin (pun intended); you can't hurt anything.
40 db of gain and 47 K Ohms indicate that it is for MM cartridges. You would have to use either a SUT or a head amp.
