Only if you prefer reflections from the cabinet, rather than from the wall behind. I use ths windows, blinds, and curtains behind my speakers for tone controls. Open windows are the best, except for my neighbors.

Wide baffle speakers sound much better, more natural and bring the acoustics of the recording venue with them.
Narrow baffle speakers are not as good without significant room treatment.
