Why no used Sanders Magtechs?

I'm REALLY happy with mine.

Tccaux, I suspect it is some of both, with the emphasis on happy owners.

Earlier this year a friend bought an Innersound amp and speakers. As I understand it there are upgrades in the Sanders version but I'm sure Roger would clarify that. Anyway, they may come up from time to time.

So Mr Mofimadness tell us a lot more about the MagTech. I have heard these several times at RMAF and was fairly impressed though I have always felt that the Sanders setup could be bettered by adding tubes on the front. The Sanders speakers have always impressed me in the low registers with taunt, quick, and bass with realistic impact but the high registers have always sounded a bit dry and lifeless compared to my Maggies. Not sure if this is caused primarily by the speakers, the front end, or the amps.

I am using the Cary 500's on my 20.7's and they seen to have ample power to drive the tough load. I never feel like that they are running out of juice even on the most demanding choral works or other large scale music. They do get quite hot however; even with 1,000 watts they are obviously working pretty hard.

The Magtechs are double the power of the Cary's so I wonder if they would move my rig to the next level. What has been your experience with the Maggies, Cary's, and Magtech?

I'll chime in on the Magtechs. . .I have a pair of them driving my Sanders 10Cs. One per channel.

The Magtechs are effortless. There's nothing they can't handle and their sound is clean, neutral, and balanced. I've owned a Pass X250, W4S ST1000s, and NAT Audio Generators. The Magtechs are the amps I'll stick with for a long, long, time.

Roger offers a 30 day trial and pays the freight both ways. If you're really thinking of an amp change, you can't go wrong with that program. But I'll warn you. . .you won't send them back so make sure you're really prepared to pull the trigger.

I am also an owner of Sanders 10c and two Magtechs. After many, many years of buying and selling more amps that I can count, I've settled on the Magtech. It is an extraordinary beast, and about as neutral as they come. To top it all off, they are a relative bargain compared to many of the offerings out there.

I spoke to Roger not too long ago. He is selling a lot of these amps. The conclusion for the lack of used units is obvious. Finding a used Magtech is not impossible. One of mine was just that. Bought it from James Darby, the publisher of Stereomojo.
