Testy,

That's a good explanation. Joseph audio is a perennial favorite of mine.

I see AP announced a recent "BreakThrough" enhancement that caught my attention.

The Soft-Mid criticism is a useful take. I am going for a 2nd listen on the 26th

and will listen for that. Thanks!

jl35- Now there is something I was not aware of. Thanks!

My friend has the Classic 10's with a "Glass Wrap" -upgrade.

I first saw the glass and thought "WTF"! Horrible idea!

But when I listened I realized it serves a purpose.

He will sell them for $1,200. At that price they seemed unbeatable

for a 2nd room system.

Will audition again on the 26th and advise my decision.

Thanks!

There are some very insightful comments above and I appreciate them. Thank you.

Consensus viewpoint seems to be:

-Amazing soundstage

-Good lows and highs

-Less than impactful mids

Some preferred brands:

Joseph, Spendor

Some very pleased with the product.

Agreed about confusing product line.

I will await a report from a reviewer about the "New" enhancement's SQ

contribution.

Does that sound like an accurate paraphrasing?

I plan to bring my current Stand Mount speakers to the audition on Monday

of the Classic 10's so I can have a real A/B comparison.

Albeit we will be listening in his room not mine but his is well tuned.

Mnteer,

Today was the day I planned to audition the AudioPhysics Speakers

but I had to postpone the trip as my wife is still waiting to get home.

Casualty of storms. So I had dog duty.

The responses have been very helpful, thanks!

The plan was to use these in my office with a 70's Luxman Receiver

that actually puts out good sound.
