Why did you lean one way or the other

Without judgement towards me, or from me, what did you find more enjoyable, going from tubes to solid state, and/or from solid state to tubes? My posts here have stated my reasons for going in a particular direction. What say you? Please, if you want to participate in this discussion, let's all be civil, mature, and realize, we all have a musical "taste" we are after, and because of this, there is no right or wrong, except for yourself.

Tubes are needless me to cos all the magic is in my music and my speaker’s ability to reproduce that magic to the best of its ability.

I am not going to play random number generator with my amp.

I have indulged in the tube thing and all it did was falter at getting out of the way and let my speaker shine. (that is also my fault for getting high output impedance tube amps)

Speaker impedance relationship means I do not want the amp altering my speakers FR so near 0 output impedance amplifiers with high damping factors are what I strive for and thankfully solid state amps are tremendous at that in the 21st century
