Whole reference system was stolen, need budget friendly integrated. Help Please!

t's a long long story and we are still fighting insurance company over their error in the way they scheduled evertyhing. Our atty says it could be up to a year or more given the amount we are suing. Anyway, I had a pair of Focal Diablo Utopia Evo's paired with a McIntosh C2700 and MC452..... and now I am looking to stay around 5k for speakers and 4k for an integrated amp.,   There are several online stores that alllow returns up to 60 days for exchanges, so I was going to order a pair of the Q Acoustic Concept 50's based on lots of reviews I have read. I do have a pair of Focal Aria 926's at my office that I can use for a while too.

I  was fortunate enough to have had my main source at a friends house, so I at least still have my Luxman D-03x. I also have a cheap, but shockingly great sounding DAC in the Topping 90se.

What are some very dynamic integrateds in my budget range I should look at? I say dynamic, because I listen to hard rock from 60's to now and like to be in the fairly loud,  Should I sell the Luxman and get a cheap transport and put that money to grow the integrated budget to 6-7k, or keep the Luxman and look for an integrated that doesn't have on board DACs?

I am so lost, please help!

Did you have a replacement cost coverage policy?

The scheduled was written in with language that lays out:

  • If piece is less than 8 years old and the original company is still in business, a new replacement is to be used UNLESS the company still has "new old stock" of the item stolen, then that is to be used.
  • Any equipment scheduled that was bought new more than 8 years ago, FMV will be given

Given the amount tht was scheduled, the insurance company asked for an amendment that states one lump sum will not egien out, they have asked to see official quote from a dealer and make sure it is in line with what it;s replacing and I am not going way up the line if names change...like if I told them the R700 is now the R 7 Meta.

My atty and others at the firm feel pretty good, but they all say the same thing on getting dragged out.

It does not but I make no accusations and pass no blame. But no, what you say above does not clear things up a bit. I’ve been in the industry way too long. No way did your agent come out once a year to verify your possessions and then the insurer denied the claim under that pretense. I just don’t buy it. Unless he was an independent agent and he made bad mistakes. I need to shut up and I will not respond here on this again.

Do whatever you want to buddy. You don’t know me and I don’t what you do for a living. All I can tell you, is that I had to pay a extra premium every year when renewal came up. Agent came to verify what they were ensuing was still owned and they also required us to take my watches and wife’s jewelry to get appraised for their schedules.

I know I am  out out of luck on the Focal Diablo’s, because I traded the D3’s in for them back in August and I got too busy and never got around to taking D3’s off and adding the Diablo’s. I have no idea why independent agent matters, butt he in fact is, and got us to go with a good company that I have dont some contract work for in the past several years

My question for the OP is if the current request for advice is intended for a temporary solution until thing’s hopefully get sorted with the insurance company or if you’re now on a different path entirely.

I think I am going to do things different this time. I am going to focus most energy and budget on a great 2 channel setup and we will still do the theater thing, but likely go AVR and pretty good to good Atmos setup that will be movies only,

Ever since 2016, I use it for 80% music anyway

I know this the amp-preamp board,. but I had an interesting weekend listening to the Q Acoustic Concept 50's. I found myself really enoying them and for the first time in years, I didnt pick apat or anaalyze3 a song's little things and yust laeid back and seriously jammed out. I used the Luxman D-03x as the main sourcew and my older Oppo 103D for my SACD. My local dealer is closing the showroom this week and dioubg a company retreat, so he loaned me their Rotel 1592 Mk2 for the week,

I thought the Rotel dad a really god job at powering/controlling the 50's and the Aria 926. The one thing that baffled me was streaming. I am using Roon ob my Macbook Pro. Out of the 3 USB DACs, (Rotel, Luxman, and Topping 90se) I thought the Topping was a good bit better. It certaily shocked me. I am going to try it again and make sure everything is level matched.

So, the 1592 mk 2 isnt bad at all. I am going to listen to the Technic SU-G700M2 and the Music Fidelity M6SI. Any other suggestions?
