WHICH PREAMP TO BUY

My home theater is 19 years old and started with PSE mono amps, lase disc, Runco projector, etc. Having replaced some components through the years as PSE is obsolete I have been processing with a Marantz AV 8003 and it has just gone bad since buying it in 2008. What is a good high end replacement. The projector is great, I have Vandersteen speakers and a Oppo DVD. I am wondering what to replace the AV 8003. Thanks for the help.
