Bobrock,
Are you looking for an ultra warm, rich, syrupy, dark, veiled, slow, carmel colored cable? Sorry but I did not read in your post what Mrtennis seems to see.
i like a dull, veiled, laid, back, boring sound capable of putting me to sleep. i hate treble and i don't like detail. i like subtractive coloration to such an extent that all recordings sound the same. you can talk about detail, neutrality all day long.
if you don't tap your foot, it doesn't matter.

i want to relax, not bothered by detail or dynamics. veil the sound and cut off the highs. darkness and dullsville is my motto, by choice. thick caramel syrup makes me happy.

Tennis,
You have a unique set of listening biases-I was seeking clarification from the OP to determine if they are looking for what you project to enjoy. I do not begrudge you your personal preferences nor do I not assume others are looking for the same things you are-your position is, I believe, not widely held among the greater audiophile community.

That's all.
