which HT receiver should i get ?

I currently have an old carver receiver and am upgrading to HT. I have 4 B&W LM1, the matching center channel B&W LCR3, and the BA PV401 powered sub-woffer. i'm just looking for any recommendation on a receiver- every shop i go to basically has a brand they push telling me it's a good match - i thought i'd ask the pros
