Where to start? sonically balanced system ..???

How am i supposed to be able to balance my system for it to sound good ?
I understand the theory of balancing warm and dry components to get a "desired" aspect of sound..
but how to do that ? where to look ?

like right now i'm on the market for a cd player..
i only really have Mirage OM-10 speakers that will stay in my in current building system
How do i choose wich component ( like cd player here )
that will match the speakers and the rest i am planning to buy?

It's kinda hard for me ( as a beginner :p hehe )
to imagine and feel the different attributes of sound on my components..and right now i can't judge nothing cause my input and my receiver sucks ( only temps stuff )

so i don't even know how my speakers really sound

please i need help on how to design, plan and think of my future system :)

( i was planning to get bryston 3b or a small classe amplifier soon but now i'm not sure..tube or SS eehhe )

here is my current system ..

Mirage OM-10
and an old Akai receiver ..

should i start with source or amp ?

how to know what will work good togehter
and
also ..

in my region..it's almost impossible to get demo gears that u can bring home and test..
there is only one good gear dealer i know of..and it's not really close and they don't demo big $$$ stuff cause not enough $$$ ..

what to do in thoose case?
whould i try to find some people with the same speakers ?
or arrange a listening session with dealers i can try to find farther in city .?
