where does Quicksilvers sonic signature fall in ?

I am considering a pair of Quickie V4 s and even though I can and am willing to spend around double their price, they still seem to have just what the audio doctor ordered for me. All that being said, if the sound of a Cary amp is on the more spacious, lush and textured and on the other side the Bat stuff is more detailed w/ tighter bass and definition. Where might the quicksilver fall in the mix. Maybe right in between the Bat and Cary or closer to one than the other. Sorry for all the long sentences and all opinions are appreciated.

Bojack hit QS's sound right on the head--"my QS Minis are very balanced sounding: Bass sounds neither dry nor bloated (but detailed), mids are a sheer pleasure and lean toward the warm side, and the highs are smooth and extended."

I had V4s driving Eminent Technology 8s and felt the same way--JUST RIGHT. I think Mike Sanders is a relative genius at simple circuits, WELL executed, but I THINK he's even better at designing output transformers.

His amps are musical, not warm, not cool, not veiled, not overly detailed, just MUSICAL. If 120 Watts will do it for you, go for them.

BTW I still have LOTS of 12FQ7 and 12BH7 tubes left over. E-mail me at jeffreybehr(at)cox(dot)net if you're interested.
