when i use a wave sound recorder program it has missed part of the recording, on playback

I have used thre programs including the popular free ne creative sound recorder and NCH software all give the same problem. I have half a dozen basic programs on pc a quadruple  AMD processor 350 ryzen and 32 GB of ram can anybody help me please
