In the early Series 2, there was a slightly shorter spindle-to-pivot distance, than the later Series 2. There also appear to be some minor changes in counterweight and some small parts. I don't know which parts may be interchangeable. Series 2 Improved has the same spindle-to-pivot distance as later Series 2, but again I don't know which parts may be interchangeable.
