Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

I absolutely prefer cassette replay to 99.5%of CD at least that I own.
Cassette tape is very analog, and on a good rig with good tape it can get very close to vinyl.

Not " perfect sound forever"
Thankfully...😂😂
Discipline ranks up there as one of my fave KC albums, it just pushed all the right buttons for me.

I have it on DVD-A too remastered by Steve Wilson and the SQ is off the charts there.
Grand Eagle .... Ed Van Fleet.

Cassette.

I have no idea how to categorize this!
New Age Electronic Tranquility Mood Music?
It's nicely recorded at least.....
The best of Chuck Mangione.

Cassette.
I have a lot of Mangione albums and I would NOT say this tape anywhere near accurately portrays the best of him.
Seems apt for a Monday morning.

Waking up the Neighbors ..... Bryan Adams.

Cassette
First and Last ..... Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Cassette.

Played on an old Nakamichi 500 Dual Tracer I acquired dirt cheap.
After cleaning heads, demag and adjustment of alignment it sounds excellent for an older 2 head deck.
Glupson.
Are you sure it should not be popular songs for unpopular people?
There is a thread I'm thinking of where that would be most fitting......
Once in a Lifetime .... Molotov.

Cassette

Cannot find this album by this band on Google or discogs but it is pretty darn good.

It is NOT the Mexican Molotov band.
Tattoo You ... Rolling Stones.

Cassette.
Tbh the SQ on this tape is way better than the record IMHO.
Bridge to Babylon .... The Rolling Stones.

I started playing this from my server this afternoon but got interrupted.

So put the actual CD in the Esoteric tonight and woah....

This must be the best sounding Stones album I have heard, very well recorded.
And some pretty good songs to boot.
I love my tape collection TBH.
This has been a hectic weekend and I need to be in the right mood and frame of mind to play records.
It's just so easy to pop in a tape or hit play on Qobuz streaming.

Steve Miller was first record I played this weekend and probably last.

Time for a few more tapes before an early night as up at 4.15am to fly to work again😕
No Boxer.
I still have about 60 unplayed ones from my last eBay haul.
And 650 on the shelf.....😂😂
El Loco .... Zz top.

Cassette.

Brian.
Nah, only 676 according to Discogs.

Stereo5.
I have no idea what's up with that but I think "esteemed" would not be the verbiage I would be employing.😁
Working through some of my more questionable cassette tapes.

Quite a few are headed to eBay!

This one though while not my first choice is very well recorded and gets to stay.

The Best of Bread.
Just about ANYTHING Steven Wilson has touched turns to audio gold.
I have all of his remastered King Crimson and Porcupine Tree works in DVD-A and they are works of sonic art.
His Jethro Tull remasters are supposed to be equally blessed so I can see how the Yes album in question will also be spectacular.
