Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Hey Reubent,
Good to hear from you. I only have 2 from them (but do play them often)  so I'm not an expert. I will say they are both excellent though. They are "Lookout mountain, lookout sea" & the one mentioned above. Of the 2 I'd give Tanglewood a slight nod. You're right, they have some pretty funny lyrics.

Irving / Good morning beautiful
uber, I agree & think you would like this one as well...

Lord Newborn & The Magic Skulls
Mercury Rev / All is Dream
uber, You're probably familiar with this guy already, but if not I think you may enjoy the music
We all slip occasionally uber :-)

Decibully / City of festivals
Stupid name but a good band nonetheless
cool uber, if you haven't heard it before, I think you'll like it

With Light & With Love
I saw Santana open for the stones in 80 or 81. Not sure how you diss that talent.

Pere Ubu / Pennsylvania
I know you do uber. If you can stream it, check out "A love supreme" from his "Divine Light" album. He is with Bill Laswell on that album. Great all the way through IMO. Also agree that he has put out some questionable stuff, but the talent is still there in spades.

geoff, thanks for the link

Hanalei / Natural disasters
Funny, I was just thinking the same thing about this album from Bowie. I had no idea Virgin could put out anything that sounds this good...
Noe Venable / The world is bound by secret knots

I agree n80, that is a very well recorded CD
"The original "on a wacky trip" band. Isn't that the truth!

Delbert McClinton / Nothing personal
This is kind of rockabilly & blues. Pretty good
That is good uber, just let me know... BTW, for solid feet, I really like the Golden Sound ceramic ones. I currently have them sitting under an amp stand. I’ve never tried brass though...

Cassandra Wilson / Thunderbird
n80, I have several memories like that myself. It's funny how some music can transport you back to a certain time in your life

Summer Hymns /  Celebratory arm gesture
