Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Y La Bamba / Oh February
Death Vessel / Nothing is precious enough for us
This is a great electric folk band
Welcome plaw. Great choices!

The Mountain Goats / The life of the world to come
Disco Biscuits / Wind at 4 to fly
Just got this one today. Now we're talkin...
uber, I really like them. They are a great jam band that has been around for years. Much in the order of moe. Problem is they don't release much on CD and I've never seen anything on vinyl. More of a live act I guess. I hope to see them sometime.

Carlos Santana / Divine light
He has Bill Laswell with him on this album. It is really good.
Spectrum / Forever Alien
This is the talent from the other half of "Spacemen 3". Weird stuff here
oicu812, I have that one. Bought it years ago when they released all of the early ones in one set. +1

uber, 3 releases sounds about right. I've managed to find 2 of them LOL
oicu, You may have a few years on me but not many lol. I didn't break out of my shell until 77. You're probably aware but Trower is actually touring now. In regard to the Moody Blues, I saw them in concert afew times in the 80's. They really had a good show & mellow vibe.

Sufjan Stevens / Avalanche
n80, That is a good one. +1, Funny how it sometimes takes the critics a while to catch up with absolute talent. The Grateful Dead "suffered" (not that they really cared) from that as well.

Sharon Van Etten / Epic
timesteinlein, Welcome & thanks for the lead! Looks like interesting stuff.
Wow guys, that is some serious blues
+1 for Eric Bibb & Bukka White! (I really need to look at increasing the blues in my collection)

Streets Of Laredo / Vol 1 & 2
